About the Site
© Matthew 2535 Inc. |
This site was designed to
facilitate awareness, support, and action within the community in
which we live. You may notice the banners at the top of the various pages have many
different wordings. These various banners help define what Matthew2535 does,
and why the ministry exists. But one name comes to the forefront as the
focal point for all of the ministry's efforts, and that name is "Jesus
Christ." We all have fallen short of the glory of God and have been in need,
both the homeless and those who appear to lack for nothing. We encourage you
to reflect on the words below and consider just how perfect our Lord is in every way.
Supporting
-
2 Samuel 22
18
He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for
me.19 They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD
was my support. 20 He brought me out into a spacious place; he
rescued me because he delighted in me.
Caring
-
Deuteronomy 32
9 For the LORD's portion is his people, Jacob his
allotted inheritance. 10 In a desert land he found him, in a
barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him
as the apple of his eye,
11 like an eagle that stirs up its nest
and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries
them on its pinions.
Teaching
-
Matthew 7
27The rain
came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house,
and it fell with a great crash.28When Jesus had finished saying
these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching,
29because
he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
Comfort
-
2 Corinthians 1
2Grace and peace to you from God our Father and
the Lord Jesus Christ. 3Praise be to the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in
any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
Giving
-
John 3
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in
him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Supplying
-
Psalm 78
9
The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows, turned back on the day of
battle; 10 they did not keep God's covenant and refused to live
by his law. 11 They forgot what he had done, the wonders he had
shown them. 12 He did miracles in the sight of their fathers in
the land of Egypt, in the region of Zoan.
13 He divided the sea
and led them through; he made the water stand firm like a wall.
14
He guided them with the cloud by day and with light from the fire all night.
15 He split the rocks in the desert and gave them water as
abundant as the seas; 16 he brought streams out of a rocky crag
and made water flow down like rivers.
